From Product Testing to Real-World Dropshipping Learnings
A data-driven dropshipping journey across products, paid advertising and fulfilment platforms.
THE BRAND
Rozghar is an Indian D2C dropshipping brand focused on everyday household and lifestyle products.
When Move2Dizital began working on Rozghar, the objective wasn’t to chase a quick revenue screenshot or promise overnight results.
The objective was more practical:
Find products worth testing. Put them in front of real customers. Study the numbers. Learn from the results. Improve the process.
That became the foundation of the Rozghar journey.
THE CHALLENGE
Dropshipping looks simple from the outside. The numbers tell a different story.
Launching products is only the beginning.
For Rozghar, the real challenge was understanding the complete journey:
Product Selection → Store → Meta Ads → Orders → Fulfilment → Delivery → Platform Charges → Settlement
A product could generate purchases through advertising, but that didn’t automatically make it profitable.
The business needed to understand:
-
- Which products generated genuine customer interest?
- What was the cost of acquiring a purchase?
- Which fulfilment platforms worked operationally?
- How much money actually reached the business?
- What costs were being deducted before settlement?
- Which parts of the process needed improvement?
This required testing instead of assumptions.
THE STRATEGY
Test the market. Measure the response. Improve the process.
Move2Dizital approached Rozghar as an ongoing testing environment rather than a one-product experiment.
PRODUCT TESTING
Multiple products and creatives were introduced into the advertising system.
The goal wasn’t to assume every product would work.
The goal was to identify signals:
Interest → Clicks → Purchases → Fulfilment → Actual economics
META ADS
Meta Ads were used to test products and creatives against real customer demand.
The campaigns generated:
282
Website Purchases
from:
₹43,789.04
Total Meta Ad Spend
Giving a blended advertising cost of approximately:
₹155.28
Per Website Purchase
These figures represent the Meta Ads data provided for the three platform phases.
THE JOURNEY
01 — ROPOSO
Starting Point: 12 April 2025
Rozghar began its journey on Roposo on 12 April 2025.
This became the largest testing phase in the data provided.
META ADS PERFORMANCE
₹37,753.28
Total Ad Spend
259
Website Purchases
₹145.77
Cost per Purchase
366,047
Impressions
284,877
Reach
PLATFORM SETTLEMENT
Amount received in the bank from Roposo:
₹34,704.75
The Roposo phase demonstrated an important lesson:
Generating purchases and generating sustainable business economics are two different measurements.
Advertising performance must ultimately be evaluated alongside fulfilment and settlement data.
02 — DROPDASH
A second platform. Another round of testing.
Rozghar subsequently tested Dropdash as part of the platform journey.
The available advertising data shows:
₹533.18
Ad Spend
4
Website Purchases
₹133.29
Cost per Purchase
9,521
Impressions
8,396
Reach
PLATFORM SETTLEMENT
₹0 recorded as platform payout in the data provided.
This phase reinforced another important lesson:
A low cost per purchase does not, by itself, prove that a campaign or product is commercially viable.
The order still has to move through fulfilment, delivery and settlement.
03 — VFUFILL
Moving deeper into fulfilment economics.
Rozghar’s next phase involved Vfulfill.
The available Meta Ads data shows:
₹5,502.58
Ad Spend
19
Website Purchases
₹289.61
Cost per Purchase
30,928
Impressions
22,655
Reach
PLATFORM WITHDRAWAL
The Vfulfill wallet screenshot showed:
₹5,245
Order Remittance Credit
₹1,636
Fund Withdrawal
The wallet also showed:
-
- ₹1,380 — Product & Sourcing
- ₹1,253 — Fulfillment & Shipping
- ₹800.09 — Platform & Service Charge
- ₹175 — Value Added Services
Total operating deductions shown:
₹3,608.09
Importantly, these deductions should not be represented as “tax.” The supplied wallet screenshot categorizes them across product/sourcing, fulfilment/shipping, platform/service and value-added services.
That distinction matters.
THE NUMBERS
Rozghar — Performance Snapshot
| Metric | Roposo | Dropdash | Vfulfill | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Ad Spend | ₹37,753.28 | ₹533.18 | ₹5,502.58 | ₹43,789.04 |
| Website Purchases | 259 | 4 | 19 | 282 |
| Cost / Purchase | ₹145.77 | ₹133.29 | ₹289.61 | ₹155.28* |
| Platform payout / withdrawal | ₹34,704.75 | ₹0 | ₹1,636 | ₹36,340.75 |
Blended cost per purchase calculated from the total ad spend divided by the total website purchases.
WHAT WE LEARNED
01. Orders are not the finish line.
A website purchase is only one step in the dropshipping funnel.
The real business equation continues through:
Purchase → Confirmation → Fulfilment → Delivery → RTO/Cancellation → Settlement
02. Advertising performance needs context.
A ₹133 cost per purchase can look attractive.
But if the resulting orders don’t translate into meaningful settlements, the metric alone doesn’t tell the complete story.
Likewise, a higher acquisition cost doesn’t automatically make a product unviable if its selling price and contribution margin support it.
The entire unit economics matter.
03. Fulfilment economics matter as much as product economics.
The Vfulfill wallet analysis showed how several costs can sit between an order and the final amount available to withdraw.
Product sourcing, fulfilment, shipping, platform charges and additional services can materially affect the final economics.
04. One platform isn’t necessarily the answer.
Rozghar’s journey moved through:
Roposo
↓
Dropdash
↓
Vfulfill
Each stage created additional data.
The purpose wasn’t simply to find the “cheapest” platform.
The purpose was to understand which combination of:
Product + Advertising + Fulfilment + Delivery + Charges
creates sustainable economics.
THE MOVE2DIZITAL APPROACH
We don’t sell the idea of “easy dropshipping.”
The Rozghar journey reflects the approach Move2Dizital wants to bring to Indian dropshipping businesses:
TEST
Test products instead of assuming every product will work.
MEASURE
Track advertising performance and acquisition costs.
ANALYSE
Look beyond orders and examine fulfilment and settlement economics.
LEARN
Identify what the numbers are actually telling the business.
IMPROVE
Change products, creatives, platforms or processes based on the learnings.
REPEAT
Because dropshipping isn’t a one-time setup.
It’s an ongoing process.
THE REAL TAKEAWAY
Rozghar wasn’t built around a “7-day success” promise.
It was built through experimentation.
Products were tested.
Ads were tested.
Platforms were tested.
The numbers were analysed.
Some tests generated stronger signals than others.
Some stages highlighted problems that weren’t visible from the advertising dashboard alone.
And that is exactly what makes the Rozghar journey valuable as a case study.
Because real dropshipping isn’t about making every test a winner.
It’s about learning quickly enough to make better decisions with the next test.

FROM TESTING TO LEARNING
Rozghar gave Move2Dizital a real-world view of the moving parts behind a dropshipping business.
The biggest outcome wasn’t a single advertising metric.
It was the accumulated understanding of:
Product Testing
Meta Advertising
Customer Acquisition
Fulfilment
Platform Economics
Settlement
Continuous Optimisation
That’s the process Move2Dizital believes in.
MOVE2DIZITAL
Test Karo. Seekho. Grow Karo.
Building scalable dropshipping businesses with real processes & testing.
Whether it’s the first product test or the next stage of scaling, the focus stays the same:
Test the market. Learn from the numbers. Improve the process.
